Our Children's Charity

How it all started:

Celebrating Life has always had a special place in our hearts for children. In 1998 we (Rosanne and Wayne Prevett) created an organization that served the needs of children in our home town of St. Thomas ON. We had a weekly lunch program a weekly evening meal program as well as a clothing exchange and food bank cooperative. We had to discontinue all those amazing programs in 2002 but we are back again with a new and fresh approach with an organization we have created called Prepare A Child 4 Life or PAC4Life.

Our goal:

is simple - to prepare Canadian children using a wholistic approach so that they can embrace life and live it to the fullest. To do this we have chosen to focus on four key areas of a child's development:

1. Academic

2. Social

3. Spiritual

4. Physical

As we served Canadian children in our own home town of St. Thomas Ontario we realized these precious lives were in need of a wholistic approach to care and love. For example to just feed them and send them on their way with no boots or mitts was to ignore a greater need and to turn our backs on opportunity to serve more completely.

It is our conviction:

  • That those who have abundance have an amazing opportunity to share with those who have needs. Prosperity is not wrong as long as we use it to bless others and see lives empowered to be fulfilled. Celebrating Life receives funds from individual donors as well as organizations like Kettle Creek Weddings that has chosen PAC4Life as its main charity to support.

  • That every child in Canada should be able to enjoy the benefits of the prosperity of our great nation.

  • That we are all made up of many significant parts which include but are not limited to being physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual beings.

How does it work:

Working with local agencies we are made aware of children who would benefit from our services. Our method is to match donor with child and encourage the donor to "adopt" a child and do what is possible to meet the needs of that child in all four areas. Ideally, we would like to see our donors sponsor a child until they are at least 18 years old or until we believe they are best prepared for life.

How do you get involved:

  • We need financial donors

  • We need volunteers
